The Solar Eclipse takes place in the sign of Pisces. Symbolically Pisces is the fish which swim in opposite directions. This represents our consciousness flowing back and forth, the material and spiritual worlds. Pisces is the outer most constellation and is ruled by the planet Jupiter. Eclipses are harbingers of change. They bring events that have before been concealed or covered up, or that we had not been able to see in some way. The degree point is 5 degrees and in the nakshatra of Uttara Bhadrapada, which represents the funeral cot and is called the “warrior star”. World events are changing and becoming more erratic and unstable. Pisces symbol of the fish has long been a representation of Christians. Now we see that Christians are being persecuted.
The degree point of the eclipse is sensitive and can be activated up to or beyond 1 year after the eclipse. So this eclipse can have a lasting effect. If you have planets in your natal chart on or near 5 degrees of Pisces, you will experience an event around this eclipse. Solar eclipse’s are likely to affect you in an outer way (ex., career). The lunar eclipse will follow, in 2 weeks on April 4, 2015.
The best way to handle this time is to keep your calendar as light as possible. Meditation and yoga can be especially helpful.
