The final New Moon for 2014 falls in the constellation of Sagittarius. The symbol for Sagittarius is the Centaur, half man and half horse. You may remember the symbol, the man is holding an arrow pointing at a target. Looking at this symbol, I have always had the feeling that whatever Sagittarius was focusing on, the arrow hit the center of the target.
The nakshatra for this new moon is “Mula”, which means root and is also connected to the Muladhara Chakra. There is a need to build strong foundations . Just as it is important for a tree to have strong roots, so it is for each of us. Strong roots give that basic life sustaining support that helps us reach and grow upwards.
New Moons offer a potential time for manifesting and creating our goals. Think of your mind as a potential garden that is waiting for you to plant the seeds. What do you want to see grow? What are your goals? Here is where your new moon journal can help you. The coming of a New Year is just around the corner. There is no better time than now to list your goals. Your list may include short term and long term goals. Remember the Centaur, half horse and half man. Once you focus on your desires, you can see yourself accomplishing your goals.
Merry Christmas!
Happy New Moon!
