The Eclipses are occurring during Mercury retrograde. This indicates a need to go back, review and reassess. We have missed a vital piece of information. As I am writing this article I have been listening to news regarding Ebola. I have listened as different people give their insight and expert advice, it is clear that our country did not take the precautionary measures to assure the safety of Americans. Mercury’s retrograde gives us the opportunity to take another look at how this happened and what could have been done to prevent it. The lunar (moon) eclipse will take place on Oct. 8th in the sign of Pisces, a water sign. The Moon represents the masses. And the moon is hemmed in between Ketu and Uranus indicating there is an undercurrent of emotional rebellion in our country. This eclipse is happening in the 4th house of the USA’s chart, which represents our home and our homeland. The 4th house is very deep, as it also contains what we hold near and dear to our hearts. The Moon is conjunct Ketu the South node and tightly conjunct Uranus, a planet that deals with unexpected events and happenings. We can expect the unexpected during this time.
On Oct. 23rd, there will be a solar eclipse, this one takes place in the sign of Libra. It is very near its debilatation degree. Libra is a sign that is concerned with bringing balance. It is also the sign that deals with relationships. The Sun (solar) represents the government and here in the sign of Libra it is debilatated, meaning it does not have the ability for its highest and best use. A strong Sun gives the ability of leadership and authority. Many commanders, scientists, and doctors have these qualities. It is possible that large organizations that are responsible (CDC) for leading and directing are not communicating everything the public should know. Or the best and most efficient way to protect the public. The government has acknowledged missteps in how it has handled Ebola. But what will it do to correct these missteps? Will it be enough? Both Rahu and Ketu deal with our fears and our unconscious behavior.
What might be the best way to deal with the influences of an eclipse? Keep your schedule light as possible. Five days either side of the eclipse is generally not a good time to make plans or start any new endeavor. Three deep breaths clear your mind and oxygenate your body. If possible spend a few minutes a day, either early morning or late evening just before bedtime to meditate. Be aware of your thoughts, place your thoughts on healing our planet and all people who are in need. Each of us plays a vital part, for it is our thoughts that are creating each and every moment.
